Mikrostima is a site-specific project developed in Reposaari, an island in Finland. It is the reimagination of a future based on photos taken with a microscope attached to an iPhone. A fictional and catastrophic future develops into a visual poem.

This is not a toothbrush, this is our new sky.

These are not instructions, this is an escape system.

This is not a drop, this is no longer a need.

This is not language, this is ego.

This is not an eye, this is misery.

This is not algae, these are our veins.

This is not death, this is evolution.

This is not a mushroom, this is modern architecture.

This is not a rusty crack, this is human corruption.

This is not metal, this is our new blood.

This is not light, this is knowledge.

This is not a leaf, this is our new skin.

This is not an ecosystem, this is pollution.
